According to the ICCA (International Conference and Congress Association), Italy ranks as the 6th country worldwide for number of meetings held on site and 5th for number of participants. The latest official report from 2019, pre-Covid times, is listing Rome and Milan in the Top 20 list of cities in the world, where meetings were being held.

Our country has all the features that are required to plan a Business Meeting and here is a summary of them:

This incredible building, that used to be the Venetian Customs House, stands right at the beginning of the Grand Canal. Recently restored by famous architect Tadao Ando and managed by the Pinault Corporation this site is officially an Art Exhibition center. Its bare and minimalistic interiors rendered extremely modern by Ando are an excellent location for an unforgettable meeting in Venice. Very close to all major resorts, It is really a place to consider if you want to avoid the usual Hotel meeting room.

Milan 

The business center of Italy offers a lot of options for a perfect meeting, most of them are very modern structures that used to be industrial buildings but all restored and equipped to perfection with the most modern A/V systems and lighting.

This beautiful historic villa, originally built as a monastery in the 1700’s, on the shores of Lake Como, is a major location for meetings in this scenic part of Italy. In addition to the historic building the complex has a modern one designed by architect Mario Bellini which features 28 rooms over 10000 sq. mt. The place to have the best business meeting on Lake Como.

Turin

The Leopolda Train Station was the old train terminal in Florence and is now a very large meeting and convention center composed of two very large spaces covering 6.000 sq.meters. The place was restored with the cooperation of Gae Aulenti one of the most important Italian architects. Located just a few minutes from the city  center and the major hotels is really the ideal place for a large meeting taking place in the Capital of the Renaissance.

Fortezza Da Basso

The Fortezza Da Basso is an historical fortress in the center of Florence dating back to 1534. It is a very large complex of buildings that are under the wing of Florence Fairs , Congress and Exhibition Center. The total surface within the fortress walls is a wapping 80000 sq.m of which 55.000 are covered spaces.

Rome

The capital of Italy and a place you must use at least once for your meetings! Here you can have your business event in an ancient Roman Palace or in an ultramodern Convention Center or using the very large Hotel meeting spaces available in the city. Here a few names of special venues to consider.

National Railway Museum At Pietrarsa

This fantastic venues is a train museum with a collection of locomotives, carriages and trains that were used in Italy since 1839. This is also one the largest conference and meeting centres in Southern Italy, with 9 meeting Rooms and the possibility to host up to 800 guests. Easy to reach from both Naples and Sorrento.

Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium – Ravello – Amalfi Coast
